Marco Island Beaches
Marco Island offers a great venue for South Beach elopements! Liz and Nick asked for a ‘beach less traveled’. Well, Marco Island is a popular island location for vacationers and winter residents, so we traveled a couple of miles to the end of Marco Island to South Beach. The location is convenient and offers public parking. This public beach on Marco Island has parking nearby.
South Beach
So, the photographer and I met this lovely couple on the path leading to the beach for their South Beach elopement. You can see the attractive and photogenic path in the photo below. We started just a little over one hour prior to sunset to create their wedding photographs. As we were arriving to the beach around 5pm, we noticed families with little children were leaving, after-all, it was time for dinner!

Beach Elopements
For their Marco Island elopement, the photographer started with photos of James and Aneta walking on the beach within just a few inches of the water. The sky was still blue for a tropical look with some waves and clouds. In just 40 minutes, this couple will enjoy a sky that has a warm, orange sunset glow to it, known as ‘golden hour light’.
The ceremony was just about 15 minutes with a few extra minutes as the couple read their own vows to each other. It was also a great photo opportunity for this elopement on Marco Island. For additional information, visit my Marco Island Elopements page.

Dinner Celebration
So, the sunset was lining up just wonderfully for our final photos. I shared with James and Aneta what will happen next with their wedding license and how it will be mailed to them in about 2 weeks. Then the photographer-Frank Simonetti, shared information on how they will receive their wedding images.
So, we left the lovely couple to enjoy the sunset alone. They planned to a celebration dinner at a restaurant nearby, chosen from several enjoyable locations.
